A homeowner in Danbury, WI was in need of a solution to a bowing foundation wall they were experiencing in a tuck under storage space of their home. The area was small, and the block wall was beginning to crack and shift. It was decided that the space would need to have the PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System installed to ensure proper stability. The photos attached show the finished product of the foundation repair project.
A cabin in Danbury, WI was experiencing some foundation settlement, and the owner reached out to DBS to try and find a solution to the problem. A Design Specialist was able to provide a thorough inspection of the cabin, and it was determined that the structure would need to have helical piers installed along the wall lining to provide extra support. These piers will be able to prevent any future settlement issues, and can even work to lift the cabin back to its original position. The results turned out great, and the cabin owner can now be more comfortable with stronger foundation support.

The owner of this home in Effie, MN noticed bowing walls in their basement and was concerned about them caving in. The homeowner had just recently purchased the property last year and a stud broke through the drywall a few months later. Looking for a solution, the homeowner reached out to DBS.
Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo led the installation of this project with help from a crew. Together they installed 21 GeoLock™ Wall Anchors to permanently stabilizer the walls in the basement. GeoLock™ anchors are installed by first excavating a small hole into the ground outside of the home-- the distance away from the foundation depends on the strength of the soil. Then holes are drilled into the walls from the interior to drill a steel rod out to the excavation site. A GeoLock™ wall anchor plate is installed over the rod in the trench and secured with a bolt, and the same is done on the basement wall side. The bolt is tightened in an effort to help straighten the wall and can be tightened again during dry seasons.
Now that the wall has been permanently stabilized, the homeowner can relax comfortably in their new home without worrying that their basement walls are going to cave in.
