DBS Before & After Photos

Before transforming this basement into a finished living area and potential office space, the homeowners in Superior, WI needed to address moisture issues. The damp conditions were causing problems for the homeowners. By installing the WaterGuard® system, SingleSafe™, and CleanSpace®, we converted a troublesome area into a dry and comfortable space.

These homeowners in Superior, WI were informed that their crawlspace was in need of assistance if it were to pass inspection. The support beam by the entryway was failing, causing the home to become unstable and unhealthy. Needing a permanent solution, these homeowners trusted DBS to help them with this project. 

Design Specialist Rich Johnsen assisted these homeowners in a free no-obligation estimate in order to find the perfect solution for their home. After careful inspection, Rich informed the homeowners that a SmartJack® Support System would be the best solution for their home. 

Foreman Tyler Nacey, along with a team, led the installation of this project. Together, the team installed 2 SmartJack® Systems to replace the failing support. This support system uses steel brackets, footing, and tubes. This evenly distributes the weight of the structure, therefore, stabilizing and repositioning the home as needed. 

These homeowners can now relax without worrying about a failing support system under their feet, but instead with the piece of mind that their home is safe and healthy.

This homeowner in Superior, WI was concerned about worsening sagging and bouncing floors. The problem was pinpointed to unstable joists and inadequate foundation support. As you notice in the 'before' photo, the issue was evident with uneven floors. Our solution was the SmartJack® System. By installing galvanized steel columns on a solid engineered base, we stabilized and elevated the floors. The 'after' photo shows the new stability and leveled floors. Design Specialist Quentin Roth assisted this homeowner in a free, no-obligation estimate to find the best solution for the home project. After a careful inspection, Quentin recommended the installation of a WaterGuard® Drain System. 

Foreman Dustin Behning led a team in the installation of this project. Together, the team removed some of the flooring around the perimeter of the home. Then they installed drainage pipes that will collect water from the floor joists and walls, before it enters the home. This drain will then allow the water to travel to a sump pump in order to be discharged outside of the home, keeping the space clean and dry. After the installation, concrete is poured and CleanSpace® material is applied in order to create a clean, flush finish.

This homeowner can now continue their house renovations without worrying about any more water issues. 

This homeowner was due for an annual maintenance appointment for their WaterGuard® system.

Jacob, DBS's Service Manager, performed the annual inspection and maintenance, starting with flushing out the WaterGuard® system. Since the home was actively being remodeled, debris was flushed out of the system. After the system was flushed out, the WaterGuard® was operating like new. The homeowner was also concerned about some effervescence coming through the slab, and Jacob inspected the area.

As part of our DBS Care Club, an annual maintenance appointment also includes cleaning the sump pump and basin. Once these tasks were completed, the TripleSafe™ sump pump was running like new as well!
