Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

This customer found us at the Hibbing Home Show in March of 2018. She had many concerns with her basement, one was leaking water through the foundation.  System Design Specialist, Rich Johnsen visited the home and proposed installing our WaterGauard system and SuperSump to help eliminate leaking water. An additional 20mil poly would be installed on the walls to help siphon the water into the WaterGuard track. 

A homeowner in Hibbing, MN, reached out to us as their basement was unfit for storage due to water issues. Understanding their vision to reclaim and maximize their basement's potential, we introduced a three-step solution. We installed our WaterGuard system, a robust UltraSump pump, and wrapped it all up with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. After the work was complete, not only is the basement dry and inviting, but it's now fully prepared to become the useful, efficiently outfitted space the homeowner envisioned!

In Hibbing, MN, a homeowner was stressed by water seeping through three walls of their basement, as seen in the left photo. Homeowners at this residence in Hibbing, MN noticed that water was making its way into their basement and collecting in pools. One of the residents has allergies to mold, and it was frustrating having to manually flush out the excess water in order to protect their living space. They reached out to DBS in hopes of finding an effective solution.

Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo went out to visit the site to conduct a free no-obligation estimate. After completing a thorough inspection, he noted that failing foundation walls contributed to the water damage issue. Henrik advised the homeowners that DBS offers solutions to fix the waterproofing and foundation issues.

Foreman Osia Williams led the installation on this project with his crew. They installed DBS's WaterGuard® draining system to divert the flow of water to a TripleSafe™ triple safe sump pump that pushes the water out and away from the foundation. In addition to the new drainage system, the basement walls were covered in CleanSpace®, a waterproofing poly material to cover leaky walls and direct water into WaterGuard® drains. To correct the foundational issues, they installed DBS's GeoLock™ Wall Anchor System to permanently stabilize the failing walls.

Now that both sets of projects have been successfully installed, the homeowners can relax comfortably in their home knowing that it has been properly waterproofed and permanently stabilized.
